In the latest ‘ESPN The Mag,’ dubbed the ‘Women’s Issue,’ John Brenkus of Sport Science took a look at college basketball’s most polarizing figure, Brittney Griner.
In the Sport Science lab, Brenkus measured Griner’s wingspan and her hand size. What he found was incredible and supports why she’s so dominant on the hardwood.
Her wingspan from hand to hand was seven feet and three and a half inches. That distance is half an inch bigger than the Los Angeles Lakers’ center Andrew Bynum.
